129th LDS Temple "Draper, Utah"

With the long hours Chris and I have putting in at our jobs and the crazy lives that our children lead, we decided as a family it would be nice to take a break from the world and experience something incredible. The 129th Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is completed and they are having their open house to the public through the middle of March. We received tickets to go to the open house on February 4, 2009 and what an experience it was. I have never had this opportunity before, as well as our children, so we made it a family affair and a missionary effort. The kids took a hiatus from their activities and we spent the evening going to the open house. Jocelyn was able to bring one of her dear friends and our neighbor Nicole with us to share in our experience. She loved it, as well as the kids. The warmth of the spirit was so strong and what an amazing experience for our children to be able to see what the Temple looks like and that it is not a scary place but and amazing place filled with amazing opportunity to be closer to Christ. The exciting thing is we will have another opportunity in the near future, when The Oquirrh Mountain Temple is finished which is only 5 minutes from our home. What a wonderful area we live in, oh yah, except the SNOW thing......

Sophmore Orientation

Can you believe it, Zoey had Sophmore Orientation this week. As some of you may not know, Riverton High School is only 10th, 11th, & 12th grade, because of the over population of students. In the 3 grades we have 3000 students, so that being said the middle school consists of 7th-9th grade. Alissa took Zoey to Soph Orientation, because Mom and Dad both had meetings, and I think Zoey was glad to be there with her older more experienced, popular sister..... Next year we will have 3 high school girls, ARGHHHHHHHHH! So you have it just another day in the lives of our 3 Teenage girls and 2 little guys.
