"My Sisters keeper"

"The best thing about having a sister was that I always had a friend. "

I was invited to a movie on Friday with my sister-in-laws and Mother-in-law to see "My sisters keeper". So with the title in mind I thought I would extend the invitation to my girls, if they wanted to go and pay their own way, and they did. Needless to say, the movie I thought was awesome! It was deep, meaningful, and really made me realize what is really important - Family! Even though there are many days my girls are at each others throats and I want to run away, They are MY GIRLS, They are Sisters and I love them! I know that when they are older they will be the best of friends, like I am with my sister! I want to also say I have great Sister-in-laws and probably the Best Sisters in the whole world. I know everyone says when you grow up you finally realize what you have and what is important, well I am lucky to say that my Sisters are my best friends and I am grateful for them each and everyday and I would give my life for any one of them any day of the week! I miss them! Love you Guys!Beth (1 of my 3 sisters) Cher, (1 of my 6 sister-in laws)

Our First Rodeo!

Living in Riverton, Utah for the past almost 15 years, we have never experienced the annual Riverton Town Days Rodeo, until TONIGHT! The night began with the skydivers bringing in the American Flag, It was Awesome!

Stone and Mom smiling for Dad getting this one for the books, knowing his wife of 39 years old has never been to an official Rodeo...The smell was delightful?

Alissa, Jocelyn (very sun burnt) and Zoey acting very interested in the events: So I have to say, they about cried when they saw the calf tying events, and were quite the entertainment for all the spectators around us, Can you believe a Gibbons' making a spectacle of themselves?

The funnest and funniest part of the evening was the CASH COW Contest. Stone and Hunter and probably 100 other 9-12 year olds chasing 4 small cows with money attached to them with duct tape - quite the spectacle and we all were laughing - Hunter was unable to catch the cow, however Stone made it out with 1 dollar, disgusting dollar I might add:
Dirty and hairy....EEEWWWWWW!

This is Chris and Hunter (with his new hairdo) waiting for the next events - BULL Riding.

Year End Piano Recital!

So we headed to the Piano Gallery in South Jordan for our annual year end piano Recital. Mind you, normally we have all 5 in piano, with the economy and the childrens crazy schedules we left Jocelyn and Alissa in lessons. We know this would be Alissa's final year with Janine (Our amazing Piano teacher) so we wanted her to finish with a bang. Jocelyn loves to play and it shows in her practicing and her determination to find new pieces and learn them on her own. For the time being the others have put their piano careers on hold, however you will find all of them practicing and keeping up on their musical talent.
So this year Jocelyn played the Hokie Pokie - to her dismay - it wasn't long enough for her and she felt it was too easy, but she showed her personality when announcing her song and playing giving the whole audience a bit of the Jocey personality, making silly faces while she played perfectly!
Alissa had the final piece of the evening and played a 10 page - 7 1/2 minute piece by Jon Schmidt. We were very impressed and proud of her final performance in Piano lessons. It has been 8 years, thousands of dollars and well worth every penny!

Stone in the heat of things!

Steeling!
Hitting Left! (Switch hitter)
Making the play to 1st - Bullet Arm
Getting the attempted steel out at 2nd!

So we are in the Heat of the City All Stars - Stone is on the Riverton 11 year olds and plays short-stop. This is just one photo of doing what he does best! He amazes us with his control of the ball and the situations that arise. He is also currently playing with the Riverton RATS super league team and pretty much floats all over the field where ever he is needed. He says that he loves playing with the RATS because he gets to play a lot of positions and show what he is able to do. We still have 2 more weeks of Baseball - including 2 tournaments and lots of sun time!
